Join Cedar and I as we walk through the Australian coastal bush in winter discussing what it means to step out of comfort zones, face the fear of commitment head on and try and find balance between life and an art practice.
Put your gumboots on and grab your protein snacks.
In this episode we:
Turn Left at the orange mushroom and then right at the tall spotted gum with three branches pointing to the left.
I question:
How I want to be in the world as an artist - an artist, a teacher, a guide? All of the above?
Where do I want to go?
How do I want to do things?
Can I Commit for a year (I hope so)?
How do I commit?
How do I show up?
How do I balance life with achieving my creative goals in a sustainable and healthy way?
I talk about the value of:
Letting yourself explore, experiment, try things, change things.
Finding role models, being inspired.
Doing. The answers are in the DOING!
Keeping on going and see where things take you.
Showing up and being consistent.
Connecting socially (Online & in Person).
Physical exercise (a MUST!)
Walking in the bush (also a Must!)
Not knowing. The excitement of not knowing where things are going to go.
My deepest gratitude to my beautiful art friends who continue to show up at the Art Play Dates and help me learn how to do this better.
