Daily walks in nature are an essential component to my Art & Wellbeing Practice.
Akin to Julia Cameron's morning pages; ('The Artist's Way'), walking helps with processing the thoughts in my head, physically releasing those things that hold me back (such as self doubt, anger or confusion).
While the negative thoughts dissipate, creative possibilities are given space to breathe and before long I am imagining painting and book projects, workshops to teach, and linking ideas into a cohesive flow.
I feel connected, creative and in harmony with where I am meant to be.
I'd like to invite you to walk with me this morning, along with Cedar, my beloved 11 year old Dingo /Kelpie cross.
You'll need some gloves, a pair of boots (gumboots are my preferred), and a keen eye for spotting colours.
This is a free flow conversation; an organic, raw, impromptu type thing - The Art Life Unplugged - Real and Raw conversations about life as an Artist.
I invite you to join me as I take you on Art Adventures, Sketch Walks and Artist Dates, discuss Art Materials and Studio Practices and at the same time figure out what it is I need to do, to create a heart centered, nourishing, Art Business that Lifts (all of us).
